COMPETENCIAS CIUDADANAS EN EL ALUMNADO DE SEGUNDO CICLO DE EDUCACIÓN SECUNDARIA OBLIGATORIA DE ALMERÍA

This report shows the research carried out about the civic competences in the second stage of secondary school pupils from Almería. The report begins with a brief theoretical background where civic competences are analyzed: criticism, social-communicative and conflict resolution, considering the intercultural competence as a transverse question. The formulation of specific research targets gives way to the presentation of the methodology which specifies the construction of a likert-type scale about civic competences and the main topics that guide the two discussion groups made up of both Spanish and immigrant school children. Finally, qualitative and quantitative results and achieved conclusions are shown.
