¿Identidades móviles o movilidad sin identidad?. El individuo moderno en transformación

Human Geography has to deal with new challenges as a result of the already well known "space-time compression". The growing mobility of contemporary societies, forces us to review the very concept of identity inits spatial dimension, as a central element to rebuild the modern man and the territorial dynamics. The central hypothesis of this paper is that mobility is not destroying identities but reconfiguring them trough new territorial dynamics, much more fluid than before, particularly because the mediation of the new technologies of information and communication, allowing new social interactions. Those ideas are illustrated by two examples: tourism and international migrations.
