Reflexiones sobre el papel del docente en la calidad educativa

This article analyzes the current state of quality in post-secondary education, taking into consideration as indicators equitability, relevance and effectiveness. The analysis examines how teachers can contribute to this challenging task by assuming a more active, transforming role, which implies substantial changes in their training and professional practice. It is hoped that the reflections in this article may contribute to the debate on the importance of the role of the teacher in achieving quality education.
