La función de la Banca central

The Political Constitution of 1991, established in Colombia a modern system of Central banking, in head of the Bank of the Republic, moral person of public right of constitutional rank, with, subject patrimonial patrimonial and technical autonomy administrative to an own legal regime, whose primary target is the maintenance of the buying capacity of the currency, promoting of this form the economic growth. In order to obtain it, the Board of directors of the Bank handles the instruments of exchange, monetary and credit policy, like Authority in these matters. They are functions of the Bank of the Republic to emit the legal currency, to administer the international reserves, to serve as moneylender of last instance and banker of the credit establishments, to regulate the international currency, changes and the credit and to serve like fiscal agent of the government.
