EDITORIAL

When the inhabitants of our planet were already beginning to see our usual problems, such as climate change, protection of biodiversity, global warming, deforestation, habitat destruction, species in the process of extinction, the economy based on fossil fuels, among others, considered as new problems in daily life, various organizations, such as the United Nations, proposed new plans and agendas regarding these items, so that the population becomes aware of the alteration of your environment. Each country lived its moment, its concerns, political problems, acts of corruption, elections, climatic phenomena, however, and unexpectedly, the coronavirus pandemic arose1-3.

Some researchers call it the moment of anthropause, humans do not want to understand what it means, the Nature asks humanity for a pause, an effective action, to repair ecosystems damaged by man, and partially recover the loss of biodi versity. All governments had to change their plans and agendas, to investigate the infectious agent that was spreading at high speed across the planet and protect their fellow citizens. The population accustomed to traveling, moments of pleasure, fun, business, food production, etc., were affected suddenly abruptly and prematurely, as if it were a dream, which has broken our modus vivendi, that is, our communication scheme, family interrelation, the concentration of masses in markets, squares, roads and means of communication, and little by little we are entering a new way of living: with social distancing, the use of mask and face shields, hand washing for twenty seconds, which will be part of our daily life4,5.

It is an unprecedented global event, which is the pandemic of a viral agent and its health complications human. Many researchers linked it to the destruction of nature and the appearance of new pandemics.

Research in times of pandemic continues and has taken a turn with the application and online programming, exercising a strong influence on political decisions during this pandemic, the role of scientific research was framed, he got involved in controlling the pandemic. Generating new research in the field of human health. This research continues in an accelerated manner, with the production of vaccines and the publication of scientific articles. The researchers call it preprints or quick and transparent reviews, as a much more affordable option in the scientific community, it is a great opportunity for scientific communities many times relegated, it is good to reduce bureaucratic barriers, of course, it has its limitations. Regarding the gender gap, it shows that women are beginning with the publication of manuscripts, thus initiating a new era during the pandemic6.

Our international indexed Journal of the Selva Andina Research Society, which continues to work in times of pandemic, continues with its objective of promoting and disseminating unpublished research that generates an impact in the area of influence, based on the corresponding regulations7.
