O cadastro no sistema e posterior acesso, por meio de login e senha, são obrigatórios para a submissão de trabalhos, bem como para acompanhar o processo editorial em curso.

DIRETRIZES PARA AUTORES

Dado o caráter multidisciplinar da Ciência e Natura, é indispensável que os autores, ao submeterem seus artigos, o façam na Seção adequada: STC, MTM, FSC, QMC, BLG, MTR, GCC, GGF, ENS.

Além disso, devem indicar a área específica na seção “Comentários ao Editor” e mencionar o título do trabalho ou o código de classificação de acordo com a tabela do CNPq.

Os autores também devem especificar: Artigo Original, Artigo de Revisão ou Artigo Publicado. Os Artigos que não atenderem às especificações não serão aceitos.

Atualmente, a Revista aceita submissões em formato Microsoft Word e LaTeX, de acordo com as condições para as submissões mencionadas abaixo.

1. O Artigo deve estar conforme o Template da Revista:

1.2. Quando submeter um arquivo no formato LaTeX²

- Número máximo de páginas do trabalho: 25;

- Os trabalhos devem ser preparados em LaTeX2e, de acordo com o modelo disponível em Template CeN LaTeX*;

- As figuras devem estar preferencialmente em ".pdf" ou, alternativamente, em ".eps";

- As referências devem ser preparadas preferencialmente em BibTeX, utilizando "cen.bst";

- O Artigo para avaliação deve ser submetido em formato ".pdf", SEM A IDENTIFICAÇÃO DOS AUTORES, de forma a assegurar a avaliação cega pelos pares;

- Os arquivos originais deverão estar no formato ".tex" e deverão ser enviados juntamente com os arquivos de figuras como “Documentos Suplementars”.

¹ A Seção de Matemática NÃO aceita artigos no formato Microsoft Word.

² NÃO INSERIR os Nomes dos Autores no corpo do Artigo, tanto na versão em Microsoft Word, quanto na versão em LaTeX.

3. Os Autores devem assinar e anexar a “Declaração de Originalidade e Exclusividade”* (texto fornecido em Sobre - Submissões - Declaração de Direito Autoral) como “Documento Suplementar” no momento da Submissão.

Deve conter as seguintes informações sobre os Autores: Nome Completo, Endereço de E-mail e Assinatura.

4. É OBRIGATÓRIO a inserção de 3 possíveis Avaliadores com Nome Completo e E-mail (Enviar como “Documento Suplementar”).

Na falta de um desses Documentos, a Submissão será automaticamente "REJEITADA", o que não impede os Autores de uma nova Submissão.

5. Todos os artigos serão inicialmente submetidos a dois Consultores ad hoc. Os Autores serão solicitados, quando necessário, a modificar ou reescrever seus textos conforme sugerido pelos Revisores e Editores. Os Autores também podem ser solicitados por nomes de consultoria para opinar sobre o artigo.

6. Antes da publicação, os Autores receberão a Prova Final dos artigos. Neste momento, nenhuma modificação será permitida. Somente erros tipográficos devidos a diagramação serão aceitos. Se a Prova Final não puder ser enviada por qualquer motivo, a Equipe Editorial fará esta revisão.

7. Os casos que não seguirem qualquer das opções acima serão resolvidos pela Equipe Editorial da Ciência e Natura.

8. Pesquisas que envolvem Seres Humanos devem, obrigatoriamente, explicitar no corpo do trabalho o atendimento das regras das Resoluções CNS 196/96 e CNS 466/12 e o Parecer Consubstanciado do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa com Seres Humanos (CEP) indicando número de aprovação emitido pelo CEP, devidamente reconhecido pela Comissão Nacional de Ética em Pesquisa (CONEP) do Conselho Nacional de Saúde (CNS).

Esta informação deve ser anexada como “Documento Suplementar”.

CONDIÇÕES PARA SUBMISSÃO

Como parte do processo de submissão, os autores são obrigados a verificar a conformidade da submissão em relação a todos os itens listados a seguir. As submissões que não estiverem de acordo com as normas serão devolvidas aos autores.

1. A contribuição é original e inédita, e não está sendo avaliada para publicação por outra revista.

Não sendo, justificar em "Comentários do Editor".

2. Os arquivos para submissão estão em formato Microsoft Word, OpenOffice ou RTF (desde que não ultrapasse os 10MB).

NÃO INSERIR os nomes dos Autores no corpo do Artigos.

O texto segue os padrões de estilo e requisitos bibliográficos descritos em Diretrizes para Autores*, na seção Sobre - Submissões - Diretrizes para Autores.

4. É obrigatório a inserção de 3 possíveis Avaliadores com Nome Completo e E-mail.

5. Na Seção de Matemática serão aceitos SOMENTE artigos no formato LateX junto com o arquivo PDF.

NÃO SERÃO mais aceitos artigos no formato Microsoft Word.

6. A identificação da autoria do trabalho deve ser removida do arquivo e da opção "Propriedades" do Word, fornecendo como critério de sigilo da Revista, se submetido a avaliação por pares (Ex.: artigos) de acordo com as instruções disponíveis sobre Garantia de Avaliação Cega por Pares.

Diretrizes Éticas para Publicação de Revistas

A revista Ciência e Natura está empenhada em garantir a ética na publicação e na qualidade dos artigos.

A conformidade com padrões de comportamento ético é, portanto, esperada de todas as partes envolvidas: Autores, Editores e Revisores.

Em particular,

Autores: Os Autores devem apresentar uma discussão objetiva sobre a importância do trabalho de pesquisa, bem como detalhes e referências suficientes para permitir que outros reproduzam as experiências. Declarações fraudulentas ou intencionalmente incorretas constituem comportamento antiético e são inaceitáveis. Artigos de Revisão também devem ser objetivos, abrangentes e relatos precisos do estado da arte. Os Autores devem assegurar que seu trabalho é uma obra totalmente original, e se o trabalho e / ou palavras de outros têm sido utilizadas, isso tem sido devidamente reconhecido. O plágio em todas as suas formas constitui um comportamento publicitário não ético e é inaceitável. Submeter o mesmo manuscrito a mais de um jornal simultaneamente constitui um comportamento publicitário não ético e é inaceitável. Os Autores não devem submeter artigos que descrevam essencialmente a mesma pesquisa a mais de uma revista. O Autor correspondente deve garantir que haja um consenso total de todos os Co-autores na aprovação da versão final do artigo e sua submissão para publicação.

Editores: Os Editores devem avaliar manuscritos exclusivamente com base no seu mérito acadêmico. Um Editor não deve usar informações não publicadas na própria pesquisa do Editor sem o consentimento expresso por escrito do Autor. Os Editores devem tomar medidas de resposta razoável quando tiverem sido apresentadas queixas éticas relativas a um manuscrito submetido ou publicado.

Revisores: Todos os manuscritos recebidos para revisão devem ser tratados como documentos confidenciais. As informações ou ideias privilegiadas obtidas através da análise por pares devem ser mantidas confidenciais e não utilizadas para vantagens pessoais. As revisões devem ser conduzidas objetivamente e as observações devem ser formuladas claramente com argumentos de apoio, de modo que os Autores possam usá-los para melhorar o artigo. Qualquer Revisor selecionado que se sinta desqualificado para rever a pesquisa relatada em um manuscrito ou sabe que sua rápida revisão será impossível deve notificar o Editor e desculpar-se do processo de revisão. Os Revisores não devem considerar manuscritos nos quais tenham conflitos de interesse resultantes de relacionamentos ou conexões competitivas, colaborativas ou outras conexões com qualquer dos autores, empresas ou instituições conectadas aos documentos.

Os Nomes e Endereços informados nesta Revista serão usados exclusivamente para os serviços prestados por esta publicação, não sendo disponibilizados para outras finalidades ou à terceiros.

Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Since Ciência e Natura Journal has an interdisciplinary character, it is paramount that the authors, when submitting their works, do so in the proper section: STC, MTM, PSC, CMT, BLG, MTR, GSC, EDC.

Also, they must indicate the specific area on the “Comments to the Editor” section and mention the paper’s title or the classification code according to the CNPq table.

Authors should also specify: Original Article, Review Article or Issued Article. Articles that do not attend to the specifications will not be accepted.

Currently, this Journal accepts submissions in Microsoft Word and LaTeX format, according to the conditions for submissions mentioned below:

1. The Article must be in accord with the Journal's Template:

1.2. When submitting a LaTeX format file²

- Page limit: 25;

- The Articles must be written in LaTeX2e, according to the model available at “Template CeN LaTeX”; (or https://www.dropbox.com/s/zma445rhf0n350a/CeN-pt-LaTeX.rar?dl=0)

- The figures should preferably be in “.pdf” or “.eps” format;

- The references should be preferably prepared in BibTeX, using “cen.bst”;

- The Article must be submitted for evaluation WITHOUT THE AUTHORS IDENTIFICATION, in “.pdf” format, to make sure the “blind” evaluation by pairs;

- The original files must be in “.tex” format and should be sent along with the figures and “Supplementary Documents” files.

3. The Authors should sign and attach the “Declaration of Originality and Exclusivity”* (text given in the item About - Submissions - Copyright Notice) as “Supplementary Document”.

It must contain the following information about the Authors: Full Name, E-mail Address and Signature.

4. It is MANDATORY to include 3 possible Evaluators with Full Name and E-mail (Send as “Supplementary Document”).

In the absence of one of these Documents, the Submission will be automatically "REJECTED", which does not prevent the Authors from a new Submission.

5. All articles will be initially submitted to two Consultants ad hoc. The Authors will be asked, when necessary, to modify or to rewrite their texts as suggested by the Revisers and Editors. The Authors may also be asked for consultant names to opine about the article.

6. Prior to publication, the Authors will receive the Final Proof of the articles. At this moment, no modification will be allowed. Only typographical errors due to diagramation will be accepted. If the Final Proof cannot be sent for any reason, the Editorial Team will do this review.

7. The cases that do not follow any of the above will be solved by the Ciencia e Natura’s Editorial Team.

8. Researches that involve Human Beings have to, mandatorily, make clear on the paper the compliance with the rules described on CNS Resolutions 196/96 and 466/12 and the Consubstantiated Opinion of the Committee of Ethics in Research with Human Beings (CEP) indicating the approval number emitted by the Ethics Committee (CEP), properly recognized by the National Bioethics Commission of Brazil (CONEP) of the National Health Council (CNS).

This information must be attached as “Supplementary Document”.

SUBMISSION PREPARATION CHECKLIST

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated by other journal.

If not, justify on “Editor’s Comments”.

2. The files for submission are in Microsoft Word, LaTeX2e, OpenOffice or RTF format (and it cannot be heavier than 10MB).

DO NOT insert the Authors' Names in the body of the Article.

3. The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Author Guidelines*, in the section About - Submissions - Author Guidelines.

4. It is mandatory to include 3 possible Evaluators with Full Name and E-mail.

Send as “Supplementary Document” in the Submission moment.

6. The authorship identification of the work must be removed from the file and from the Word's “Properties” option, providing this how the Journal's secrecy criteria, if submitted to evaluation by pairs (Ex.: articles) according to the available instructions on Ensuring the Evaluation by Blind Pairs.

Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

The Ciência e Natura journal is committed to ensuring ethics in publication and quality of articles.

Conformance to standards of ethical behavior is therefore expected of all parties involved: Authors, Editors, Reviewers, and the Publisher.

In particular,

Authors: Authors should present an objective discussion of the significance of research work as well as sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the experiments. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable. Review Articles should also be objective, comprehensive, and accurate accounts of the state of the art. The Authors should ensure that their work is entirely original works, and if the work and/or words of others have been used, this has been appropriately acknowledged. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Authors should not submit articles describing essentially the same research to more than one journal. The corresponding Author should ensure that there is a full consensus of all Co-authors in approving the final version of the paper and its submission for publication.

Editors: Editors should evaluate manuscripts exclusively on the basis of their academic merit. An Editor must not use unpublished information in the editor's own research without the express written consent of the Author. Editors should take reasonable responsive measures when ethical complaints have been presented concerning a submitted manuscript or published paper.

Reviewers: Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should be conducted objectively, and observations should be formulated clearly with supporting arguments, so that Authors can use them for improving the paper. Any selected Reviewer who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the Editor and excuse himself from the review process. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

The Names and Addresses informed to this journal will be used exclusively for publication services and they will not be available for different finalities or to others.
