Normas de Colaboración
NORMAS
PARA PUBLICAR EN PRAXIS & SABER REVISTADE INVESTIGACIÓNEN EDUCACIÓNY
PEDAGOGÍA
Los
artículos enviados a PRAXIS & SABER de la Universidad Pedagógica y
Tecnológica de Colombia deben ajustarse a los siguientes parámetros:
1.
ASPECTOS GENERALES
Podrán
ser publicados todos los trabajos de investigadores nacionales o En Praxis
& Saber se incluirán artículos resultados de investigaciones en
experiencias e innovaciones en educación, artículos de investigación trabajos
presentados deben ser un aporte para el campo de la educación y la pedagogía.
Los
trabajos admitidos son originales e inéditos.
Todo artículo es sometido a un riguroso proceso de
arbitraje (sistema doble ciego). La evaluación del artículo se hace conforme a
criterios de las normas editoriales
establecidas.
Se
recomienda que el número de autores del artículo no sea superior a cuatro (4).
Los
artículos evaluados podrán tener tres (3) resultados: publicable, publicable
con ajustes, no publicable.
Cuando el
artículo se conceptúa como publicable con ajustes se le informa al autor, quien
decide si se somete o no a realizar los ajustes; si no lo hace debe comunicar
por escrito su decisión al Comité Editorial.
Los
autores de los artículos conceptuados como no publicables, pueden solicitar al
Comité Editorial de la revista las razones de los árbitros para su rechazo.
Cuando el
artículo es aceptado por un árbitro y el otro lo considera no publicable, se
someterá a un tercero.
La evaluación
de los artículos tiene un tiempo mínimo de TRES MESES a partir de la fecha de
recibo. La información a los autores se enviará luego de la reunión ordinaria
del Comité Editorial.
El Comité
Editorial se reserva la última palabra sobre la publicación de los artículos y
el número de la edición en que se publicarán. Esta decisión será comunicada a
los autores en cuanto se conozca.
Es
indispensable presentar una carta dirigida al Comité Editorial en la que se
autoriza a la revista para que publique el documento y se da fe de su
originalidad y de ser autor intelectual de ella. Además, debe dejar centro de
investigación, tal como lo consigna en el artículo (ver anexo).
Los
resúmenes de los artículos serán publicados en español e inglés y en otro
idioma según el cuerpo del artículo.
PRAXIS
& SABER acepta permanentemente artículos sobre temas de educación y
pedagogía.
2.
TIPOLOGÍAS EN LAS QUE SE CATEGORIZA EL ARTÍCULO
PRAXIS
& SABER acepta artículos originales de los siguientes tipos, en
concordancia con lo establecido por el programa Publindex de Colciencias1:
Artículo
de investigación científica y tecnológica. Documento que presenta, de manera
detallada, los resultados originales de proyectos terminados de investigación.
La estructura generalmente utilizada contiene cuatro apartes importantes:
introducción, metodología, resultados y conclusiones.
Artículo
de reflexión. Documento que presenta resultados de investigación terminada
desde una perspectiva analítica, interpretativa o
Artículo
de revisión. Documento resultado de una investigación terminada donde se
analizan, sistematizan e integran los resultados de investigaciones publicadas
o no publicadas, sobre un campo en ciencia de desarrollo. Se caracteriza por
presentar una cuidadosa revisión
3. FORMA
Y PREPARACIÓN DE MANUSCRITOS
Las
características mínimas que deben cumplir los manuscritos presentados son:
Uno y
medio, márgenes de tres (3) cm. a cada lado, en hoja tamaño carta.
Extensión
máxima 40.000 caracteres (sin espacio) incluyendo las referencias.
El título
no debe exceder doce (12) palabras.
El
encabezado del artículo debe presentar: título del artículo, nombres y
apellidos del autor(es), nombre de la institución, grupo de investigación y
proyecto(s) al cual pertenece(n) el artículo, dirección electrónica, teléfono
de contacto, vínculo con la institución.
El
resumen del artículo debe elaborarse con un máximo de 180 palabras. Debe
presentar de manera sintética la introducción, los objetivos, la metodología y
los principales resultados de la investigación. No incluir título del artículo.
Incluir
hasta cinco palabras clave según tesauro de la UNESCO (http://databases.unesco.org/thessp/)
de apoyo al artículo deben entregarse en formato JPG o TIFF y tener un tamaño
máximo de 7.5 x 6 cm. y una resolución de 150 pixeles/ pulgada; además deben
tener título y estar numerados e indicar si son elaboración propia o la fuente
de la que fueron tomados.
Los
artículos deben seguir los lineamientos del Manual de Estilo de Publicaciones
de la Asociación Americana de Psicología (APA 6ª edición - 2009).
Las notas
de pie de página serán únicamente de carácter aclaratorio o solamente las
fuentes citadas en el trabajo, en una sección titulada ‘Referencias’.
Las citas
textuales tendrán las siguientes características: si ocupan cuatro líneas o
menos, irán en letra cursiva y entrecomilladas; si son de mayor extensión irán
en párrafo aparte, con sangría, sin entrecomillar, y la fuente en un punto
menos. En ambos casos los datos de referencia se consignarán de la siguiente
manera: entre paréntesis el apellido del autor, el año de publicación de la
obra y el número o números de las páginas, por ejemplo: (Freire, 1975: 88-89).
Las
paráfrasis deben contener solo el nombre del autor y el año de la publicación,
por ejemplo: (Freire, 1975).
Si dos o
más obras de un autor se editaron el mismo año, se distinguirán con las letras;
a, b, c, etc.; por ejemplo: (Freire, 1996a: 27). Las referencias se organizan
por orden alfabético y las obras del mismo autor se organizan cronológicamente homogénea
a lo largo de todo el texto.

Al
emplear una sigla o una abreviatura, primero se registrará su equivalencia
completa y a continuación, entre paréntesis, el término que será utilizado en
el resto del documento.
Si se va
a resaltar en el texto alguna palabra o frase, se recomienda emplear letra
cursiva o subrayar la expresión, evitando el empleo de negritas y comillas.
El
cumplimiento de estas normas es indispensable. Las colaboraciones aceptadas se
someterán a un proceso de corrección de estilo, se recomienda a los autores
entregar versiones con una primera corrección. Además, su publicación estará
sujeta a la disponibilidad de espacio en cada número. En ningún caso se
devolverán originales al autor, ni habrá responsabilidad para la revista.
Artículos
y hacer los cambios editoriales que considere pertinentes para dar al artículo
la mayor claridad posible. Por lo tanto, se recomienda a los párrafos cortos y
homogéneos, y utilizando adecuadamente los signos de puntuación.
El autor
cede los derechos de publicación a la REVISTA PRAXIS & SABER de la
Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. PRAXIS & SABER se reserva
el derecho de publicación impresa, electrónica y de cualquier otra clase, en
todos los idiomas.
Excepcionalmente,
es posible proponer la reproducción de textos difundidos en otros medios o que
requieran traducción, siempre y cuando no impliquen costos adicionales para la
publicación.
Nota:
cualquier situación no prevista en estas normas de publicación, será resuelta
por el Comité Editorial.
Lista de
comprobación de preparación de envíos
Como
parte del proceso de envío se requiere que los autores indiquen que su envío
cumple con todos los siguientes elementos y que acepten que envíos que no
cumplan con estas indicaciones pueden ser devueltos al autor.
1. Mi
artículo no ha sido publicado previamente ni se encuentra inscrito en proceso
de evaluación en otra revista.
2.
Declaro que mi artículo se envía en formato Microsoft Word y su tamaño no
supera las 25 megas.
3.
Declaro que he añadido las direcciones web para las referencias donde ha sido
posible.
4. Mi
artículo comprende una extensión de 40.000 caracteres incluyendo uno y medio y
márgenes de tres (3) cm. por cada lado. Indicados en las normas para autores
que se pueden encontrar en ‘Acerca de la revista’.
5. Mi
artículo cumple con la totalidad de requisitos de publicación y me someto a las
normas de evaluación de la revista (sistema doble ciego).
4. PAUTAS
PARA ENVÍO DE MANUSCRITOS
El autor
debe enviar los siguientes archivos al correo electrónico praxis.
saber@uptc.edu.co
Formato
de datos de autor: primer apellido, segundo apellido, nombres, teléfono de
contacto y dirección de correspondencia.
Para
garantizar el anonimato en el proceso de evaluación, debe enviarse un tercer
archivo con el cuerpo del manuscrito, en éste debe omitirse toda referencia a
los autores o indicación que permita revelar su identidad.
5.
ACEPTACIÓN DEL ARTÍCULO
El
trabajo aceptado que tenga observaciones, según el criterio de los árbitros,
será devuelto al autor o autores para que realicen las correcciones
pertinentes. Una vez revisado por el autor, debe ser entregado al Comité
Editorial de la revista en un lapso no mayor a diez (10) días hábiles.
El
trabajo no aceptado será devuelto al autor o autores con las observaciones
correspondientes y no podrá ser arbitrado nuevamente.
Los
autores recibirán dos (2) ejemplares de la revista en la que aparezca su
artículo.
PRAXIS
& SABER PUBLISHING RULES EDUCATIONAND PEDAGOGIC RESEARCH JOURNAL
Articles
sent to Praxis & Saber, a publication by the Pedagogical and Technological
University of Colombia, must meet the following requirements:
1.
GENERAL ASPECTS
All
national or foreign researchers’work that meets the required criteria Praxis
& Saber includes articles resulting from research experience and articles
and review articles. The works to be presented must contribute to Praxis &
Saber admits only original and unpublished articles.
Every article is subjected to a rigorous process of
evaluation (double blind review). The article is evaluated according to
originality, topicality, publishing
rules.
No more
than four authors per article is recommended.
There are
three possible categories for the evaluated articles: publishable, publishable
with adjustments, and unpublishable with adjustments, and decides whether or
not he/she adjusts the text. If the author decides not to adjust the text,
he/she must notify his/her decision to the publishing committee through a
written message An author may request the reasons behind a rejected article
when his/her When two evaluators disagree about the category of an article
(publishable – unpublishable), a third evaluator will take part in the
decision.
Articles
are evaluated in THREE MONTHS to evaluate the articles since delivering date.
The decision will be sent to the author after the publishing committee ordinary
meeting.
The
publishing committee reserves its right to publish the articles and the issue
where they will be included. Once the decision is known, the author will be
informed.
Receiving
the articles does not imply that the evaluation committee is committed to
publish them. Publication is possible only after approval.
It is
mandatory to send a letter to the publishing committee authorizing to the
university or the research center are required, as it is recorded in the code
(see attachment).
The
abstracts will be included in Spanish, English, and/or other languages
according to the content of the articles.
Praxis
& Saber accepts articles on education and pedagogy topics on a year-round
basis.
2.
TYPOLOGIES IN WHICH ARTICLES ARE CATEGORIZED
Praxis
& Saber accepts original articles of the following types, according to what
is established by Publindex program of Colciencias:
Scientific
and technological research article. A document in which detailed and original
results of completed research projects are presented. Its general accepted
structure comprises four main sections: introduction, methodology, results, and
conclusions.
Reflection
article. A document in which it is shown the results of a completed research
from an analytical, interpretative or critical perspective
Review
article. A document product of a completed research in which it is analyzed,
systematized, and integrated the results of published and
the purpose of reporting the
advances and tendencies of development. The features of these articles consist
on presenting a careful literature review containing no less than 50
references.
3. LAYOUT
AND ORGANIZATION OF DOCUMENTS
The
following are the minimal features texts must meet:
Font:
Times New Roman, twelve (12) points, one and a half spacing, margins: 3 cm
every side; letter size paper.
Maximum
Length: 40.000 characters (without spaces), including references.
The title
must not be longer than twelve (12) words
Article
heading must contain: title of the article, author(s)’s complete names,
institution, research group and project the article belongs to, e-mail address,
telephone number, and link with the institution.
The
abstract of the article must not be longer than 180 words. The introduction,
objectives, methodology, and the main results of the research have to be
presented in a synthetic way. The title of the article must not be included.
Supporting
graphics, photographs and illustrations (diagrams, charts, tables, drawings,
etc.) of the article must be delivered in .JPG or TIFF format and must not be
bigger than 7.5 x 6 cm and 150 pixels/inch resolution.
Besides,
they must have a title, be numbered, and point out whether they were created by
the author(s) or the corresponding source if so.
The articles
must follow the guidelines found on the Publication Manual of the American
Psychological Association (APA 6th edition – 2009).
Foot
notes will be exclusively used for clarifying or explaining and must not
include bibliography.
References
must be given in the text during, or directly after, each sentence or short
section quoted; full details are provided at the end. The bibliography must
contain the quoted sources in the paper, under a Quotations must have the
following features: if they are four-line long or less, they must be written in
italics and in double quotation marks; if they are longer they will be
presented in a separated paragraph, indented, and font must be one point
smaller. In both cases reference data must be provided in the following way: in
brackets author’s surname, year of publication and page number(s); for example:
(Freire, 1975, pp. 88-89).
Paraphrases
must only contain author’s name and year of publication: for example (Freire,
1975).
If one or
more books of the same author were published the same year, they will be
differentiated with the letters a, b, c, etc.; for example: (Freire, 1996a, p.
27).
References
are organized alphabetically and the books of the same author, chronologically.
Presentation
of references along the text must be the same.
In order
to answer any question about how to cite, please consult the basic quotation
tutorial found on http://www.apastyle.org/learn/tutorials/ basics-tutorial.aspx
If an
abbreviation or acronym is used, the complete equivalence is brackets, the term
that will be used in the rest of the document.
If any
word or phrase requires emphasis, it is recommended to use italics or underline
the expression, avoiding bold type and quotation marks.
To a style
revision process. Authors are recommended to deliver corrected versions.
Besides, its publication will depend on the space availability in every issue.
In no case originals will be returned to the author and there will not be any
kind of responsibility for the magazine.
The
publishing committee reserves its right to modify the title of the articles and
to make the editorial changes that considers appropriate in order to make them
as clear as possible. Therefore, authors are recommended to write in a rigorous
way, check spelling, employ short and homogenous paragraphs, and use
punctuation properly.
The
author submits his/her publication rights to Praxis & Saber Journal of the
Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia. Praxis & Saber
reserves its publication rights, if printed, electronically, or any of other
kind, in all the languages.
Exceptionally,
the committee can consider the inclusion of articles featured in other
publications, even if they need translation, as long as it does not imply additional
costs to Praxis and Saber.
Note: any
situation non-described in these publishing rules will be solved by the
publishing committee.
Submission
process check list.
As part
of the submission process the author must indicate that his/her article meets all
the following requirements, and that he/she accepts that texts that do not meet
the requirements may be rejected.
1. My
article has not previously been published and it has not been submitted for
evaluation to any other publication.
2. I state that my article is sent in Microsoft
Word format and is no more than 25MB size.
3. I state that I have attached websites for
references when posible
4. My article length is 40.000 characters,
including notes and bibliographic references, and it is written in twelve (12)
points, Times New Roman font and three (3) cm every side margin. 5. My article
meets the bibliographic and style requirements indicated in the rules for
authors that are found in “about the magazine”. 6. My article meets the entire
publishing rules and I accept the journal’s evaluation rules (double blind
system).
4. GUIDELINES FOR SENDING DOCUMENTS

Author’s data format: complete surnames, names, nationality, country of type
of institutional membership, academic studies, telephone number, and postal
address.
Author’s condition letter with digital or scanned signature.
In order to guarantee anonymity during evaluation process, it must be
the authors or any
hint leading to his/her identity.
5. ACCEPTANCE OF THE ARTICLE
If, according to the evaluators, an approved work requires adjustments,
it will be returned to the author or authors so that they correct it. Once the
author has done so, it must be delivered to the Journal Publishing Committee in
a space no longer than ten (10) working days.
An unapproved paper will be returned to the author or authors with the
due observations and it will not be evaluated again.
Two copies of the journal in which the article is featured will be sent
to the authors.
